[June 25 2009] *sigh*

Moonlight shining through the dark clouds,
every bit reflects a memory of you.
strewn across an endless maze,
your gentle words linger in my ears.
you left without saying goodbye,
tears fell but i learned to hold it back.
your silhouette slowly fading away,
and i felt joy.

for once i learned to love myself,
to appreciate who i am and to be myself.
i tried to change who i am,
just for you to accept me.
my friends were there to support,
to tell me to move on and let you go.
i did, i did it well,
and slowly, you were gone.

you became a fragment in a broken mirror,
strewn across the floor.
lost in every inch of the cold, dark, pavements of my mind,
you were there, lost, cold, forgotten.
then the sun shone on me,
you reflected light in the recesses of my mind.
after months and months,
your fragments slowly picked themselves up and made you whole.

you talked to me with your gentle voice,
you looked at me with your calm eyes.
then i was there, standing,
standing in front of you not knowing what to say.
i do not know what to feel,
'cause i have forgotten that feeling a long time ago.

here i am, slowly picking up the broken fragments,
of feelings i used to feel for you.
i'm confused, i dunno what to feel,
i dunno if i should still love you.
all i know, is i miss you..

'cause i loved you before,
but you let me go.

*sigh* what should i feel?:(

[June 13 2009] Pseudo-relationships

got this from Karl Escobar!:D hahahaha... SHAREIT!:D
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pseudo-relationships

Almost like a relationship, but not quite.
It is a phase where the persons involved
are more than friends, but not quite lovers.
Puwedeng may verbal agreement,
puwedeng wala.
One or both of you may have admitted
your feelings, possible din na hindi.
You just let your gestures do the talking
for you.
Walang pormal na ligawan na nangyari.
Hindi kayo.
Pero sa kilos niyo,
sa mga sinasabi niyo,
parang kayo, pero hindi.
This kind of “relationship”
can happen at different stages
for different reasons.
It can happen after a break-up.
You still love each other,
and you want to be with each other
but you broke up for a reason.
And for reasons that you alone know,
ayaw niyo na muna magkabalikan.
It can also happen before a relationship,
iyong pareho kayong nakikiramdam.
Possible din na ayaw niyo munang mag-
seryoso kaya kunwa-kunwarian lang muna.
Testing lang. (tama ba un?!)
Puwede ring hindi puwedeng maging
kayo kasi isa sa inyo may ka-relasyon na.
Kaya habang hindi pa siya
nakikipag-break doon sa boy/girl,
wala muna kayong relasyon
para nga naman hindi siya nangangaliwa
kasi “hindi naman kayo.”
This pseudo-relationship stage,
for a time, can be fun.
Lalo na kung naghahanap
ka lang naman ng kalaro
Pero huwag ka lang mag-e-expect
na may patutunguhan kayo kze
wala talagang kasiguraduhan.
So bakit ang daming nagse-settle
sa ganitong set-up ganoong
hindi naman sigurado
kung may patutunguhan?
Iba’t ibang dahilan.
Puwedeng for fun lang.
Puwedeng “buti na iyan kesa wala”
Meaning, habang wala pa yong the real
thing,
doon muna sa kunwa-kunwarian.
For those who are not in a serious
relationship,
they would think that pseudo-relationship
is better than no relationship at all.
It would be fun, if all you’re after
is that “kilig” feeling.
But then I learned that although it was
only a pseudo-relationship,
the emotions were real.
And usually, in this kind of set up,
merong malulugi..
“ung nainlove sa taong taken na..”
Una, you can’t ask him/her to commit.
Since it’s not really a relationship,
you can’t demand commitment from your
partner.
Ano ba kayo?
You will always be uncertain
about your role in his/her life.
You can’t expect him/her
to be always there with you.
And if you feel jealous of the other
boys/girls,
you just have to keep it to yourself.
Ano ka ba niya para magselos?
Pangalawa, what if
you fall deeply in love with him/her?
You can’t be sure if he/she feels the same
way.
Baka nag-a-assume ka lang
na mahal ka rin niya.
Even if you are dying
to tell him/her you love him/her,
you can’t.
Because you’re not sure
if he/she will like it.
Baka mapahiya ka lang.
This stage will always make you wonder
where you are in the relationship.
Or if there is a relationship at all.
Pangatlo, what if you become attached
too much?
What if you have invested
all your emotions and this man/woman
hasn’t?
What if you remain faithful to him/her,
not entertaining other guys/gals,
only to find out that he/she is seeing
other girls/boys?
Isa pang downside ng pseudo-
relationships,
it is fleeting.
When a disagreement sets in,
or when one of you gets cold,
then that would be the end of it.
Unlike in a serious relationship,
hindi mo alam kung saan ka lulugar
sa isang pseudo-relationship.
Wala kang pinanghahawakan.
Kasi sa pseudo- relationship,
there is no “us.”
Meron lang “you and me,”
but not “us”.

Circular Regarding Influenza A(H1N1)

A repost. From UST CSC 2009-2010

Dated: May 21, 2009

Circular No. 2; Series: 2009-2010

THE DEANS, REGENTS, PRINCIPALS, DIRECTORS, HEADS OF DEPARTMENTS, FACULTY MEMBERS, STUDENTS, SUPPORT STAFF, USTH ADMINISTRATION AND SATFF AND THE PARISHIONERS OF THE SANTISIMO ROSARIO PARISH:

RE: AH1N1 FLU AND DENGUE FEVER

Upon the recommendation of the UST Health Service, I am furnishing your office a copy of the guidelines and some measures for the prevention of AH1N1 flu and Dengue fever.

This office is giving instruction that all academic and non-acedmic departments should have a meeting in their respective offices to read and discuss the said guidelines and measures. All faculty members hould likewise read and discuss them with their students on the 1st meeting at the start of this academic year.

Administrators, faculty members, students and support staff who have just returned from their trips abroad are advised to recourse to self-quarantine for at least seven (7) days while those who already exhibit the sympotoms of the AH1N1 flu are advised to saty home and consult a doctor.

GUIDELINES AND SOME MEASURES FOR THE PREVENTION OF AH1N1 FLU:

  1. Wash hands regularly (hand hygiene). Use of hand sanitizers is also effective.
  2. Cover your mouth with a handkerchief or tissue when you cough or sneeze (cough etiquette).
  3. Avoid crowds, hand shakes and social gestures (hugs, beso-beso).
  4. Avoid contact with those who are sick.
  5. Travel to the AH1N1 + countries only if extremely necessary. After your trip, observe and watch out for flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, body aches, and pains). Consult the Health Service immediately as these manifest.
  6. Get the vaccine for the seasonal flu (no vaccine yet for AH1N1). The low-priced seasonal flu vaccine is available upon order from the Health Service.
  7. Eat nutritious food, increase fluid intake and have enough rest.
  8. Social distancing - if you are sick, keep a distance of at least one meter from others and immediately take a leave of absence due to illness.
  9. Improve the airflow of air-conditioned room - open windows of your area for at least one hour.
  10. Stay home if you have the flu-like symptoms (for at least 7 days). Consult physician near your place.
  11. If you are in UST, consult at the Health Service immediately as soon flu-like symptoms manifest.
  12. Do your part. Help us inform all Thomasians so we can prevent the spread of this disease.
Regarding item 3, we are recommending that activities of gathering be held in an open or well-ventilated area.

Regarding Item 9, we are requesting that windows (if any) of classrooms or any enclosed areas in the campus be opened for at least one (1) hour before being occupied.

Regarding Item 10, we are suggesting that the absences incurred by the students or employees due ti flu-like illness be dealt with humanely and that make-up measures for missed classes or work (for employees) be non-punitive. However, only a health clearance from UST Health Service will be honored upon return.

For your strict compliance.

We commend ourselves to our loving God that there will be a medical breakthrough soon to spare us from these maladies and for people to practice utmost charity by being responsive to the needs and care of everyone.
